ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Lewis Sommer is an author, a photographer, and a businessman. He and his wife Jennifer live in Marin County just north of San Francisco. He graduated from the School of International Service at The American University in Washington, DC and has owned a group tour company based in San Francisco since 1980. When not exploring the back roads of California he is an avid kayaker and hiker, enjoys the beach with his dogs, and has a passion for travel.

In his fine art photo book, The Mansions of Pacific Heights, he used his lens to capture the opulent "faces” of San Francisco’s elite architecture. Now, through his debut novel, he steps inside those front doors to explore what happens when the curated perfection of the billionaire lifestyle meets the messy, unrefined reality of human excess. Where his photography revealed the exteriors of power, his fiction steps inside to explore the human truths those facades conceal.

His writing combines a sharp eye for sensory detail with a deep interest in the ethical frontiers of modern technology. Sommer’s work reflects a life lived at the crossroads of business, art, and technology, offering a unique perspective on wealth, power, and the loyalties—and betrayals—that bind them together.
